Casino Day Trips

We have a variety of outings available for residents at Oak Wood Place Assisted Living. One of the favorite trips for residents is to the "boats" (the casinos) in Shreveport, La. We leave around 8 AM and stay till around 4-5 PM. Each resident is given a roll of quarters to pay the slots and we pay for the huge buffet lunch at the casino for our residents. We send one attendant per 3 residents and our nurse with the group. And we take meds along for anyone due a dose during the day. It is a fun outing that we do about 3-4 times a year.
